Apply to become a student at the École Normale
Apply for the first year (the L3 physics program “ENS Paris-Saclay track”)
Through competitive exams: Students from the École Normale Supérieure may be admitted through the PSI, PC, or MP exams (the “ENS student” track).
Based on academic record: students may also be admitted based on their academic record (the “ENS student” track).
The application procedures for first-year admission to the degree program through the “ENS Paris-Saclay” track of the Bachelor’s degree (L3) in Fundamental Physics at Paris-Saclay University are available at the following link:
All Normaliens (pupils and students) commit to a 4-year program.
Apply for the second year (the M1 IJC Physics program at ENS Paris-Saclay)
It is also possible to enter after completing one year of the L3 program (via the “student track” based on academic record for ENS students or through the “dual degree” track). In this case, being admitted to the program to pursue an M1 means that the first year is recognized as equivalent, which specifically requires having completed a research internship lasting more than 5 weeks during the L3 year.
